![]() A few years ago, I worked in the IT department of an Italian-owned company. At Christmas, we always shut down and had an offsite company Christmas party. The CEO even flew over from Italy to give us a pep talk. One year, at the end of his spiel, he meant to say “God bless America.” But it came out all wrong because of his Italian sentence structure. He mistakenly said, “Bless God, America.” But he was right! Bless God, America, for answering our desperate prayers by raising up a true patriot to be our next President. Bless God, America, for the Secret Service who willingly put their bodies between President Trump and a bullet. Keep him safe always! Bless God, America, for rescuing us from the hungry jaws of the New World Order. (Whew, that was close!) Bless God, America, that the Obamacare fiasco will soon be rectified. Bless God, America, that the Constitution still stands and the Bill of Rights still protects. Bless God, America, for the right to keep and bear arms. Bless God, America, that we are a peaceful people who still enjoy the seamless exchange of power (except for those silly little rioters) and peaceful revolution-by-ballot (not bullet.) Bless God, America, for the freedom to shoot off our mouths pretty much anyway we please. Bless God, America, that our great experiment in Liberty still endures. Bless God, America, for the example and inspiration of Brexit and great leaders like Nigel Farage. Bless God, America, for that irritating raging man who woke up an entire nation, Alex Jones, and keep him, his family and all the InfoWars staff safe, strong, devoted and courageous. Bless God, America, for Julian Assange, WikiLeaks and his great sacrifices to reveal the truth. Bless God, America, for our strong, patriotic fighting men and keep them safe on foreign shores. Bless God, America, for the internet, social media and easy access to the inside scoop. Bless God, America, for shelter, warmth and food. Bless God, America, for the love and kindness of our spouses, our families and our friends. Bless God, America, for so richly blessing us. May we use our manifold blessings to turn the hearts of our fellow countrymen towards Him and the understanding and love of America as the founding fathers designed her. Happy Thanksgiving, dear readers. I'm immensely grateful for you and honored that you take the time to read my stuff! Refrain:
All things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small, all things wise and wonderful: the Lord God made them all. Each little flower that opens, each little bird that sings, God made their glowing colors, and made their tiny wings. (Refrain) The purple-headed mountains, the river running by, the sunset and the morning that brightens up the sky. (Refrain) The cold wind in the winter, the pleasant summer sun, the ripe fruits in the garden: God made them every one. (Refrain) God gave us eyes to see them, and lips that we might tell how great is God Almighty, who has made all things well.

Hi Marian, Sorry for not replying to your comment earlier! In my forty years, Donald Trump is the ONLY politician who has ever kept all of his promises. Here's praying for four more years. If you haven't already, please subscribe to my new blog, Beyond Narcissism, which also includes a lot of writing about liberty and America. Thank you!

I love America as the Founding Fathers designed her more than life itself. And she's worth working, fighting and sacrificing. Here's my take on the election, President Trump and America, "a shining city on a hill." ArchivesCategories
