Patrick Henry Drives a Truck! The Eloquence of Canadian and American Freedom Loving Patriots
"America is a land of heroes."
Who will ever forget that immortal phrase with which President Trump began the most legendary American speech since The Gettysburg Address?
The date was February 4th, 2020.
The event: President Trump's State of the Union address.
America is a land of heroes.
This is a place where greatness is born, where destinies are forged and where legends come to life...
Ladies and Gentlemen, our ancestors built the most exceptional republic ever to exist in all of human history and we are making it greater than ever before....
This nation is our canvas and this country is our masterpiece....
Our spirit is still young, the sun is still rising, God’s grace is still shining, and my fellow Americans, the best is yet to come.
Better patriotic rhetoric simply doesn't exist. It can't. The language of Liberty doesn't get any better than this.
The best part is that, with a pinch and a pat, this incredible eloquence can be adapted to Canada, to Australia, to New Zealand, to France ...wherever Freedom is cherished in the hearts of men, women and children, then "God's grace is still shining...and the best is yet to come!"
And if you listen very, very closely, you will hear President Trump's voice trembling with tears as he speaks these immortal words.
Yet, ever since the stolen election of 2020, it's seemed to me that some people (especially on Gab) are hyper-focused on the General Washingtons, shall we say, as they believe physical confrontation is the only way to restore our "most exceptional Republic" and not focused enough on the Patrick Henries, Thomas Jeffersons and other Founding Fathers who wrote and spoke words that instill Freedom in our very souls. For me, words is where it's at. Without words, what are you fighting for!?!
That's why, in my opinion, there's too much emphasis on "alter or abolish," forgetting that our Founding Fathers spent years exhausting every possible peaceful method to wrest our God-given rights from the clutches of England.
Ever since the hamfisted and blunderingly obvious theft of the 2020 Presidential Election, some of the more bombastic and hyperbolic patriots have been blowing off steam, shooting off their mouths and talking stupid $hit on social media about "altering and abolishing," in the spirit of the American Revolution.
While Patriots' reverence for God-given life has, of course, prevented any actual violence (except by BLM and Antifa), c'mon, folks. Really!?! Your hyperbole set it up on a tee and Nancy Pelosi and Antifa knocked it outta the park...committing actual violence on January 6th they then projected onto Peaceful Patriots (who tried to stop them from behaving violently!).
Both big-mouthed Patriots and Pelosi erred by assuming that violence is the whole kit-and-kaboodle of our Founding Fathers' legacy. Perhaps that's because all we really know about them is the Declaration of Independence and the American Revolution.
Oh! We couldn't be more wrong!
Recently, my research into the pre-Declaration of Independence era of American history has impressed upon me the incredible peacefulness, patience, diplomacy, long-suffering and arms-only-as-a-last-resort ethics of our Founding Fathers.
By not taking up arms anywhere against anyone, Patriots and President Trump are following in the Founding Fathers' footsteps. Just like them, we are restoring these United States of America from the ground up just as our Founding Fathers built her in the 1700s: person by person, heart by heart, soul by soul, legislature by legislature, state by state. From dog-catcher to Senator, America is being slowly and steadily re-instilled with the MAGA spirit of our Founding Fathers.
If this is The Plan, and I believe it is, then our Founding Fathers are looking down from Heaven and smiling.
Our Glorious Independence Day: "Every Man Jack of Us a Free and Independent Citizen of God’s Country"
When I was a little girl, my mother told me, "Lenora, always be grateful you're an American. There's no greater blessing."
Mom was right and no one expressed this more beautifully than pioneer Laura Ingalls Wilder in Little Town on the Prairie when she described DeSmet's 1882 Independence Day Celebration:
FREEDOM: This is What It's NOT!
"Free people don't ask permission." Lately, I keep hearing that phrase over and over and over again. I heard it on RSBN's coverage of the (banned) Trumparilla Boating Event. I heard Dave say it forcefully on Sunday's X22 Report. I hear it from you. I hear it from Michael. "When you're free, you just do. You don't shilly-shally around asking permission. You don't ask, 'May I?' You just DO what you want, when you want, where you want, how you want, whenever you want."
That blows my ever-loving mind! I mean...WOW! I was raised to always ask permission. Usually, the answer was "no." To this day, I have to consciously remind myself, "Lenora, this is your blog. As long as it's true, you can write whatever the Hell you want about anything and anyone."
Unless you've lived under iron-fisted control, the concept of Freedom should be normal to you. If you've always enjoyed the blessing and God-given right of Freedom, you may even (God forbid!) take it foregranted.
I'm not in your boat.
Until 2011/2012 I was only granted tiny crumbs of Freedom. From childhood on, I was brainwashed that I had to earn everything...respect, trust, Freedom. And if I didn't toe-their-line perfectly, all of it could be snatched away from me. After I turned 18, they doled out just enough "Freedom" to keep me employed, paying rent to them plus a little more "Freedom" keep me quiet à la Stockholm Syndrome.
Being ignorant of the Age of Emancipation, this abuse led me to conclude that a person's Freedom is in their parents' gift to dole out or withhold or snatch back, based on their child's maturity. The Left says our Liberties come from Government, not God. I believed it came from my parents, not God.
I tell you that not get pity...because I was a damned soft-hearted idiot for not realizing what was going on. I was a pathetic scared fool who didn't have the confidence in myself nor the brains nor the courage to hurt their feelings by leaving without their blessing to seize my God-given Freedom, even though their iron-grip almost squeezed the Will to Live out of me.
No, I tell you that to say that if you haven't had Freedom...the concept is so profound I still can't wrap my head around it to this day. Even as I try to type this, I'm unusually speechless. My breathing is constricted with excitement and yet...I'm also puzzled.
What is Freedom anyways???
Once upon a time, I found myself in an abusive situation. It wasn't my choice. I was born to a man who indulged in extreme blackout rages.
Ignorant of the Age of Emancipation, by the time I was of age to flee, I was too terrified to physically leave him. He held a godlike stature in my mind.
My abuser derived his only power from the consent of the abused (me).
Now where have I read that phrase before? Oh yes! The Declaration of Independence. "Deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed."
Abusers and traitors like Pedodent Biden have no power unless their victims consent.
Do we consent, America?
Almost 2 Million MAGA March Visited by Trump. Patriots Marched for Freedom in Merrie Olde England and Germany Too
In the wee hours of November 3rd, as President Trump's final campaign rally wrapped up, I already missed the exhilaration of the MAGA rallies. I hated to pack up my patriotism in my old kit-bag and smile, smile, smile until the 2024 Presidential election. (Don Jr? Eric? Candace?)
Then the Left's ridiculously overdone election "steal" came along and if you thought the Spirit of America burned brightly before, oh baby! You ain't seen nothin' yet. It glowed before. It rages now.
Today, more than one million people flew, rode, drove, caravanned and Trump Trained their way to Washington D. C. where they walked or rolled in wheelchairs for the Million MAGA March insisting loudly, proudly and peacefully that this government by the people accept the people's choice of President. And our choice is Donald J. Trump. (Duh!) It was a scene straight out of Frank Capra's 1941 movie Meet John Doe...but in color.
Meanwhile, across the pond, our brothers and sisters in Merrrie Olde England have caught that most contagious of viruses. No, not Covid! Freedom. They marched for liberty today too.
Who do we have to thank for this outpouring of patriotism and the stoking of the Lamp of Freedom?
Why, the Left, of course! They did us all a tremendous favor on November 3rd, November 4th, November 5th, November 6th. Hey! Does anyone know if they've stopped counting, re-counting, scanning, re-re-re-scanning, printing and fabricating ballots yet????
Cryin' Chuck Schumer Calls Amy Coney Barrett's Supreme Court Confirmation "One of the Darkest Days." Such as...Pearl Harbor? 9/11?
"Today...will go down as one of the darkest days in the 231 year history of the United States Senate." That's how Cryin' Chuck Schumer began his long, eloquent speech on the floor of the Senate objecting to Judge Barrett's confirmation. What he lacked in truth, he more than made up for in boredom and repetitiveness.
He went on to say, "And let the record show that the American people, their lives and rights and freedoms, will suffer the consequences of this nomination for a generation." He even had the audacity to call the confirmation process for Amy Coney Barrett "this sordid chapter in the history of the Senate." The only sordid recent events have the been the content revealed on Hunter Biden's laptop and in Ashley Biden's diary.
But what really caused my ears to perk up was at the very end of his speech when he again repeated, "Monday, October 26th, 2020 will go down as one of the darkest days in the 231 year history of the United States Senate."
Our God-Given American Freedoms: The Philosophy Inspiring Our Fight Against Narcissism
Yesterday, I received an alarmed email from my marketing service informing me that 7.58% of my readers had unsubscribed after I wrote They Said Trump Is A Malignant Narcissist. Was I off-topic, they wanted to know? Had I erred in some way?
I've been writing about all the usual topics - cults, narcissism, freedom but as they relate to America and Donald Trump. Apparently, that pissed off exactly 7.58% of my subscribers who are Biden/Harris supporters.
Then I realized something: You can't write about narcissism without also writing about America, patriotism, freedom...and Donald Trump.
Our fight against narcissism is a fight for our God-given American Freedoms in the microcosm of our relationships. But you won't even know you have those freedoms without America. What we're fighting for, nationally and personally, is for freedom "against all enemies, foreign and domestic." Emphasis on domestic.
As soon as Donald Trump announced his candidacy in 2015, screams of "Narcissist!" resounded through cyberspace.
It was the perfect label at the perfect time. The whole Narcissism trend had just started and I was in the perfect place at the perfect time too. As Trump began his presidential campaign, I began writing PsychCentral's first dedicated narcissism blog, Narcissism Meets Normalcy.
Every time I hear someone say, "the new normal," I cringe. Like fingernails on a chalkboard, it sets my teeth on edge.
That's because I know from sad experience how abusers have carte blanche in the absence of normalcy - the stick in the spokes of their abuse. Abusers and narcissists hate normalcy because it puts a cramp in their style. The first thing cults make new members jettison is their old normalcy. As Todd bragged on Chrisley Knows Best, "There ain't no normal here." My point.
The events of 2020 have given certain people "dressed in a little brief authority" just the excuse they craved to jettison normal, to terrify, to divide and to conquer by brainwashing nice, normal people into exchanging their God-given freedom for so-called "safety."
For five years, I've advocated for the importance of the protection of normalcy. Naming my old blog, Narcissism Meets Normalcy was not a whim. I coined that title because I know, from experience, how much bad can happen when the protection of normalcy is removed.
