On the day she died, Ivana had an appointment at 2 pm to have her hair styled before setting off for St Tropez. Classy, perfectly coiffed and enjoying her life to the very end! Now that's the way to go.
Ivana first came into my life in 1996. That was the year my family bought our first color television. (I know, right!?) One of the brightest lights on our new TV was Ivana Trump as she sold her beautiful line of jewelry on the old Value Vision shopping channel.
To my sixteen-year-old eyes, she was elegance and glamor personified. With her exotic Eastern European accent she gave fashion tips while she plying her flamboyant designs.
Yesterday, as we all gasped in shock at the news of Ivana's unexpected passing, I admired again the Ivana aurora borealis crystal necklace my mother bought for me in 1996 and told Michael, "She never expected to go that way!"
