Some headlines are so egregious, they beg for a full article. Today's article was inspired by this headline:
And the feminists of the world did...meh, pretty much bupkis.
They were vocal enough when the possibility of terminating adorable little babies was in doubt but when actual living women are losing employment potential...bupkis.
They're quick enough to speak out against Female Genital Mutilation but when little girls are being sliced, diced and permanently changed into a sad mimicry of little boys...bupkis.
They attack women who enjoy being women and love femininity...but say bupkis about Jeffrey Epstein's myriad victims, the rich and famous who flew on the Lolita Express to Epstein Island and Bill Clinton raping Juanita Broaddrick.
And they call themselves "feminists"!?! My ass!
"The world is an evil place," my parents always tried to impress on me. But twenty years ago, as a young woman with my eyes full of stars and my heart full of dreams, I found that hard to believe. I tried to take their warnings to heart and see a would-be attacker or rapist around every corner, lurking down every alley but as time went on, I learned that your normal, every day, garden variety American is a pretty nice, good person.
Oh, I knew bad things happened but I believed that, for example, child molestation was rare. A now-and-then occurrence when that weird Uncle Bob lured his niece or nephew into the back shed with candy.
Then middle-aged men began coming forward with horrible stories of Catholic priests who had abused them decades ago. Middle-aged women began to talk openly about being sexually abused by nuns at Catholic orphanages. Lots of priests and nuns at lots of parishes.
And I figured the Catholic church had a problem.
Then I heard that the pastors and PK's at my strict, IFB school groomed and raped students.
And I figured there was a problem amongst some protestant clergy too.
Then I heard about orphans from Boys Town in Nebraska trafficked to the White House under George H. W. Bush's reign. And I figured GHWB had a problem.
But I was wrong. My rosy view of the world was wrong. In fact, my look-on-the-dark side parents were wrong too. The whole cockeyed world is wrong.
Pedophilia isn't isolated to that weird uncle with the perpetual Epstein smirk or that creepy pastor. Don't get me wrong, they're bad but they're garden variety pedophiles. Isolated. Working alone. Small potatoes. And so, for a long time, we thought they were the only pedophiles because they were the only ones getting prosecuted while the Global Pedophilia and Sex Trafficking Ringleaders said how horrible it all was, gave generously to charities to help victims of sexual abuse and swam away unseen, unprosecuted, unfettered.
We're just beginning to get it. Pedophilia is rampant. It's not isolated, it's not rare, it's not secretive. No! It's massive!!! It's everywhere!!! It's systemic in the fabric of every system, every culture, every religion, every industry, every nation. It's how the world works now.
It's like Charlie Chaplin said in his movie Monsier Verdoux: "Kill one person and you're a murderer; kill a thousand and you're a hero."
Rape one child and you're a horrible pedophile. Rape, traffick and murder thousands of children and you're an influential Prince of Industry. You're a respected Politician. You're the leader of a Religion. You're a past President.
Pedophilia is a culture. It's a network. It's an entertainment. It's a hierarchy. It's a currency. It's a religion. It's how the world has worked for years...and only the good people did not know it. The good people who could've tried to do something to stop it if only they'd known it was going on.
I've finally got it through my thick skull that pedophilia is the underlying structure of how the globe functions. Thank God Donald Trump is taking it down!
The Tale of Three Americas
We should all have a Professor Kirkpatrick in our lives. He was the tutor who taught young C. S. Lewis to "clarify his terms." That old Scottish atheist taught the author of Mere Christianity how to think logically and strip away all assumptions to bare, naked fact. We should all be blessed with a Professor Kirkpatrick.
When you and I say, "America" we know what we mean. But there are other Americas on this blessed land and I'm just now starting to become aware of them. In this article, we're going to take the merest glimpse at them and attempt to "clarify" what we mean by the term "America."
This is the tale of three Americas.
