AMERICA: The Blog
AMERICA: The Blog
How did a filthy rich guy bridge the gap between himself and us regular workaday Americans? First, he's basically a workaday guy at heart too. Like most of us, by his own admission he's "basically cheap."
But most of all, he's funny and a smile, or even better, a laugh will always be the shortest distance between people.
It wasn't until a kind patriot ("LC"...you're famous!) sent me four books by Donald Trump that I finally realized just how hilarious he can be. Reading them, I expected to learn a lot. I did not expect to laugh a lot.
But that's what I've been doing. LOLing and ROTFLMAO all over the place. Usually, his funniest statements are also his most profound statements as well.
Here, for your reading enjoyment, are some of the funniest Trumpisms from his 2000 pre-brief-presidential-run book The America We Deserve.
For the four wonderful years of Trump's Camelot, we saw our dear President Trump in nothing but red ties. Well, there may've been the occasional blue tie but he knows the secret of the elegantly dressed gentleman: find what works and stick with it.
Red works for him. It's a strong color. The color of leadership. The color of the Republican Party. Even in a crowd, you can can always pick Trump out by his blazing red tie.
But since the bizarre exile of our real President to the Winter White House of Mar-a-Lago, we've seen him in yellow neckties more often than not.
Change in fashion sense? Tired of Old Red? A hat tip to the Sunshine State? Trying to match the decor of Mar-a-Lago? Yeah, I'm clutching at straws here.
Things finally came to head yesterday when of all the video clips in all the world Dan Scavino selected a blurry video of President Trump in India wearing a yellow tie to share in his Facebook video (0:06).
Perhaps I'm reading too much into President Trump's sudden change in sartorial splendor but I don't think so. If symbolism is the downfall of the Deep State Black Hats then it's also the Victory of the Righteous White Hats.
It was Danny on Telegram who enlightened me on the symbolic meaning of President Trump wearing yellow.
There's journalism...and then there are tabloids. Unfortunately, a lot of tabloid-style Conservative "News" sites have sprung up lately, telling the patriots what they want to hear ("Hillary Arrested!") with no clear sources nor accountability when they're upright, forthright, downright wrong.
Meanwhile they spam you unmercifully with advertisements for supplements and survival stuff and online stores and I-know-not-what making reading the article painful at best, impossible at worst.
I know why they do it. Just like this website, since January 20th they've too have seen their website traffic, and thus their income, decrease by 75%...or more.
Nevertheless, Patriots, this must not be. Fake News should belong only the Liberal Left. They have the franchise. We expect them to lie and they do it so beautifully, over and over again.
But we are called to a higher, more ethical form of Journalism. If we call ourselves "Patriots," then our word must be impeccable, our facts consistent and Truth (not money!) our goal.
Maybe I just wasn't paying attention. Maybe it happened...and they're trying to erase history à la the Mandela Effect. Maybe all-of-the-above.
"If only President Trump's overwhelming re-election win had been honored," I often think, "we'd be living in Camelot now."
But then I look back and think, "But it didn't seem like Camelot during his first four years in office."
Partly, it's my fault. Maybe it was Camelot-ish and I just wasn't paying attention, wasn't enjoying his Administration to the fullest.
But mostly it's the fault of the Loony Left and RINOs who fought him so viciously, that it became painful to watch him, always so embattled, always on the defensive, always stonkered at every turn. The political drama obscured so many of the glorious moments of the Camelot that President Trump and Melania were painstakingly trying to create.
All those beautiful moments of White House pageantry...the holidays, state dinners, etc. How did I miss so many of them? Was anyone reporting on them or was I watching the wrong news venues or...or...or?
President Trump and Melania are high-class-on-steroids. Always impeccably dressed, fulfilling White House protocol and traditions with the utmost in good taste and dignity with reverence for our history and veneration for the White House which a former President described as "the best house, because you go there to serve."
Here are a collection of videos of the glory days from President and Mrs. Trump's Camelot. Beautiful moments for us to cherish and relive as we wait patiently for the goodness, grace and glory of Trump's Camelot to return and finally be fulfilled.
The only thing making life bearable on this cockeyed planet is the assurance that "I know that my Reedemer liveth." Without that, life would be insufferable.
Maybe that's why the Bad People running the world's governments are so darn cranky. They have no hope. Without hope, life is about just one thing: go for the gusto.
This isn't an article. Just a chat over coffee with friends. Do you take it black or white...or is that considered a racially insensitive question too!?!
Like Q, please don't mistake my recent silence for inaction. I've been a busy little bee, full of stings, making honey day and night...how did Bette Davis get into this!?!
So much has happened!
