The Process
|
White oak or cedar are the wood types of choice. Each blank plaque is cut and sanded to a soft, smooth, buttery finish. The coup de grâce is a Roman Ogee routered edge.

After the wood is prepared, then it's my turn.
I devote hours to painstakingly sketching the desired text and art to the wood and then ever-so-carefully burning the design.
The final touch is two coats of hand-rubbed tung oil, to make the wood shine and the grain "pop!"
Voilà!
